we are making days into years
April 25, 2009
On the brink of collapse. Punggol is hell of a distance.
Elaine & Shannon & Beeching. Lunch on Sunday was like a walk down memory lane. Except these memories were so thin & vague I had more fun exploring present tense. Then Shannon recalled something recent which made me felt very flattered. haha. Of course it clarifies. I tell you my life is somewhat connected to a particular male name.
Revolutionary road simply cemented Kate Winslet’s place as The Actress To Watch, no matter what plot it is. Leonardo Dicaprio is charismatic. The demented son who was a maths genius stole the show. The verbal bloodbath was a pain to watch. I don’t even like to watch my family quarrel. What makes silver screen any different.
Tuesday shopping made me happy:):) Long school hours with nothing to rejoice for at the end of the day but my hauling purchases made me feel at least fulfilled for the rest of the day.
Wednesday Waraku was a nice conclusion to another looong day. I can’t even remember what I did in schooling except that it has been very busy a day. They tried to pull a fast one on me saying that I had to pay for this miserable bottled water costing some because I went to the ladies & the waiter was too quick. Beneath my feeble attempt to look nonchalant I was seething inside with justine’s rubbing it in. & you think meihui and jacq and shuyan’s giggles would give it away. Gullible fallibles.
Friday yay:):):) Prof Chew’s lecture on occlusion & articulator was very very good. Learnt so much & all the jokes. In spite of the unnerving moment of being directed a question by him in turn. Had my metal bands on & I’m so glad to shed the separators, the innocuous rubber bands that are just as insidious and malignant in the agony caused. Okay fine, I should have chewed gum.
What a blissful weekend. Footloose & dutyfree;P
In one week I’ve done as much work as I probably did in the last three weeks. Crazily busy. We can start seeing patients this term and my, what a totally different climate out there. It’s as though lab 2 has been a glass ball averting our eyes from the flurry of activities that has been going on at lab 3 & 4, clinic 2 & 3. Paperwork, paperwork. Many more protocols and whatnots lining our trails. Everyone seemed to be doing different things from you.
Let’s hope this term ends as swiftly as it came.
We heart good deals.

So here’s the haul from SGFLYER.

At this point I am seriously yearning for sharp lennssss. This one is a rather normal 50mm, F1.8.

These hearts we spotted at the SG Flyer. Lovely props.

For some strange reason this shot below reminds me of K20. Alternate reality with Kaneshiro’s acrobatics.

Us six had dinner at Jerry’s.

This is Hong yi’s take. & I like because I looked deceptively skinny here. hyuk hyuks.

& I once aspired to work at this bldg. Along with dreams to be a stewardess and police officer. Who doesn’t dream of working at skyscrapers like this.

I’ll say, photoshop & lightroom are seriously compelling. Of course, it’s no fun touching up other photos apart from those taken by my deesixty. Lately I forgot how to draw. Couldn’t even do symmetry properly.
Been back on Charmed. I know I’m going to sound like a fangirl but it seriously is the best darned series ever to come out! & I’m talking about the first three seasons when the Charmed Ones are made up pf Prue, Piper & Pheobe. Sorry, Paige, you don’t count. I’m on season two, going back to my adolescent years, squealing with delight and excitement just watching my favourite sisters all over again.
School’s back. It’s a different sort of feeling.
Wed a nest’s day.

In one day it felt like a week of activities.
Shinjuku incident was far from fantastic. Insightful on the chinese immigrants being discriminated on foreign shores and their illegal lives. Apparently, Derek Yee likes severed hands. Wasn’t it in Protege that we saw a similar amputation scene. Daniel Wu looked like a freak.
After Mac, did a bit of shooting at esplanade. Manual focus and metering sucked.
Singapore flyer was going at ten for NUS students. I think it applied to other schools also. My first time boarding. Spend too much time taking photos to appreciate the supposedly breathtaking view. But we had the entire cabin to ourselves so that’s a big bonus. Wouldn’t fancy being trapped with strangers. As if lifts weren’t enough.
Dinner at Jerry’s. Our first time at club street. Met Maybelline, friend of Mei hui and Emily, friend of Hong yi. Li yong joined us as well. Devoured spicy buffalo wings and pork ribs.
At meihui and maybelline’s insistence I went clubbing with them. Door btch wasted our time. For once I wished my name wasn’t so unique that she would recognise that I lent it meihui because she forgot her id. But we got in anyway. Take that, btch!
My god DMC is crap. I was really anticipating the movie after having seen the trailer. But even Yasako Matsuyuki And Kenichi Matsuyama could not save it with their presence. Lame. No wonder xiaoyan only watch half of it.

I turned up at 6, on the dot. The birthday girl was not even here yet. So I waited upstairs, glad to have sally’s salon to bid my time. Forty five minutes later a stream of guests arrived, all none too familiar. Xinru called out to me. She wore a dazzling blue number that does great to her figure. She was pretty that night.
Then Serene called out to me. Funny how coincidences summed up in strange circumstances. Turned out she was xinru’s primary school tuition mate. We were in the same class for 3 years in primary school, & I met her once at taka. Tonight she’s accompanied by her sister Sally, cherubic and extremely outgoing. They giggled alot.
Funny thing was, almost every of Xinru’s friends were gorgeous. The girls, apart from two (& this included me) wore heavy makeup, prettily dolled up, and glam dressup. The guys were not far off either, some with really great looks and some who well, tried. And you know what, I feel so underwhelming so. I was probably the most underdressed that evening, in shorts (although I clearly and unapologetically breached the dresscode) but hey, I didn’t come in tee and slips.
I got a chance to catch up with huili and serene. Turned out sally was taught by Ms Williams and Mrs Ho as well. She knew alot of my then-classmates. I enjoyed myself surprisingly, though the food at essential brew was expectedly lukewarm in taste. But the ambience was certainly cosy and fun. We played with ken’s lomo. We broke up in giggles after every shot which was kind of cute ha ha. Because we all sucked at it.
I met Daniel finally, darryl’s twin. And haha all I can say is that it’s the biggest surprise of the evening.
I AM
April 6, 2009
I am adoring Ryan Stiles. Watched Whose Line is it anyway couple of nights ago.
The first time watching cable tv from my home following months of abstinense. We have seen many domestic disputes under my roof over the remote it is bloody I am in all favour of online streaming.
I am watching Rebecca Hall at the moment.
Last night reminded me that good company is all it matters. We exchanged goss over crumbly toasts and sundaes.
I am having Kids by MGMT on the loop. It’s crazily addicting.
Bali We Went.

Bali:
T’was fun. Bintang Beer tasted great. Our driver Wayan proved himself to be a dishonest man. I inhaled more seawater than I ever did in my lifetime. White water rafting was simply exhilarating. Parasailing was too short. I’m extremely happy with my shopping outcome. Of bags and hats and charmed.
Balisandy Cottage, home to us 6 for the next 5 days as well as worms and mosquitos. Otherwise, very pretty exterior.

Our ogling eyes.

This shot is testament of how I truly sucked at jump shots. I looked ridiculously so.

Loves taking children. Uninhibited. Let’s play:)

A procession greeted us in the evening when we stepped out of the hotel where we booked our tours.

Hortpark over again.

Tanah Lot, this segment of the temple is only accessible by foot during low tides.

His royal shades.
