Breakup present, heh heh. My sis was selling it at the flea. And funny how no one wants to bring it back.

Rabbits for sale. This one is huge.

Sin Ming Walk.
Peirce returned to its original campus after a long renovation project spanning 4 years. It underwent a big facelift, with a new block erected near the field. The skeleton is still there, recognisable by us old alums. But most of the infrastructure has changed. Pretty sad, yes. Like Ms Ho, now all the memories are in our hearts and nowhere else.

Outside the dance studio. Thank goodness the classrooms were left untouched.

Many of us came back for the sec 1 orientation, though people like me were of no help. I was more keen in nostalgia and reminscing fond memories with Wansu, Lynette, Vone, Janice, Kelvin & Darryl. Some many juniors came as well, but I hardly know them. We chatted with Mrs Yau, still forever young. Turned out, many teachs have since left.
Peirce will always have a special place in my heart;)

2008
- I picked up photography. Still an amateur, but learning as i go along
- I became more extreme in behavior & thinking, more short-tempered and demanding
- Not so results-oriented when it comes to academic, thus less stress and pressure.
- I put on weight
- I went to Taiwan & Vietnam
- I started a blog
- I think my drawing of faces improved, but still not there yet
- I treated people very badly sometimes
- I watched many jdramas this year and I don’t know why I count this as an accomplishment of sorts
- My writing improved because of this blog
- I became more independent and niche in a way
- I’d like to think I’m more emotionally mature & independent & detached now but I’d let time test this
- I learn to take care of a baby
- My chinese improved from watching Little Nonya
- I’ve moved a step closer to acceptance, rather than bury myself in the frustration when I couldn’t be the person I want to be. I’d think all of us feel like this from time to time. But I’m so much happier now that I can admit I just don’t like to do what most people enjoy. And that I’m alot more anti-social than I think, ha ha. But for now, I’ll handle my own interpretation :)

The 娘惹队 arrived at Compasspoint to greet some few thousands of people. It was crazily packed and pushy everywhere. Here are some photos taken during the Meet-the-fans session.

project overdue
December 28, 2008
Apparently our efficacy, not without the help of user-friendly softwares, surpassed our dismal expectations as both Liane & I were prepared to toil the afternoon away to come up with a video presentation for dph.
In a mere 3 hours, us technoobs managed to conjure a pretty nifty informative visual aid that will teach you all you need to know about choosing toothbrush, toothpaste and the appropriate way to brush teeth. We found a great setting in Cold Storage, & helped ourselves to all the varieties of toothbrushes, pastes and whatsits.
How very exciting right. Sigh, I could think of a million more topics that might catch your eye but oh well, we’re dental students through & through.
Liane, having came back from Korea brought back some very pretty Artbox souvenir:) I received a very fascinating contraption in the form of a pencil lead box, pencil box and the too-nice-too-use eraser. Artbox & Poomstyle is going to be the standard for pretty stationery. And with good grammar too.
With any luck, we just might be able to finish the video by tomorrow. ><

Photoshop. ~3 hours.
Wanted to do something along the lines of grand theft auto concept art. Attempted landscape painting last night. It went okay but I gave up do draw faces instead. I can’t stop with faces.
(dang. in retrospect the ears are lighting up the picture.)
Hope one day I can be good enough to paint all the visions of alternate reality swimming in my head.

These photos from Eikin, clubsnap moderator makes me feel so awe-inspired and proud of my neighbourhood suddenly. The photos were all taken from humble Punggol. The quality of work is astounding and no less.
